Effective Date
Studio uses the Effective Date of a document to determine whether it should be included in a form set. By default, this date is set to today's date.
Important | We strongly recommend entering an effective date for all Documaker documents, especially if you have assigned a class or project to your document. Assigning an effect date helps to ensure this date is used in Studio. However, the Studio user can still override this date. |
To select an effective date
- In the General tab of Document Properties, click the Effective Date drop-down arrow
- On the pop-up calendar, use the left and right arrow buttons to select a month and year
- Select a specific date
The check box next to the date is automatically selected, indicating it is active
- To quickly select today’s date, click anywhere in the bottom edge of the calendar where today’s date appears.
To turn off the Effective Date (not recommended):
- Clear the check box next to the date.
The date will be grayed out, and the default effective date for the Studio library will be used when the documented is imported into Studio. If necessary, you can re-enable the Effective Date later
Please note:
- The effective date on an imported form applies to any section contained in that form if the Studio files are checked into the library
- The effective date on an paragraph list applies to any paragraph contained in that paragraph if the Studio files are checked into the library
